My HP laptop will not boot into windows 11. Just looking for some possible additional thing to do.
I am able to get into the BIOS and have tried every possible repair/recovery method that there is.
This problem occurred when the reboot from an update occurred.
Strange that it should occur just when I was going to transfer the OS to another laptop as it was working so slowly. This is a AMD chip that did not qualify for W11 at first but did at a later time.
At this point I will expect to remove the HD and connect it to my current laptop, although I am not sure how much of that is necessary as this one had updated quite nicely over the Internet.

I could of course just try a reinstall from media?

Do you have an image or clone backup to restore?

Have you got anywhere Bill?

If you don't have an image or clone backup and there isn't a lot installed and your data is on a different drive than the OS I'd probably just re-install as it will likely be less time intensive than trying to solve. Here is a little tutorial I did for doing Windows 11 installs on systems with non compliant hardware.

That was my thinking as well Jay.
There is really no backup, other than on-line that keeps all the settings the same from computer to computer.
It is a single drive laptop and I used it mostly to connect to my server in the other room so I could read my email, etc.
When I bought it I thought that I would just get a less power unit, big mistake.

It exhibited, when it was working, similar internet connection speeds as you were on your surface.

I do have some programs that I would have liked to transfered but I am guessing that I will just have to start from scratch on this one (the one I am using now).

P.S. The unit became compliant automatically. I had nothing to do with it. It just downloed and installed the update all on it own (yes, I did say OK).

If you can attach the drive from the problem PC to another try just copying the software you want from install folder from program files or program files (x86) to a flash drive and port to a usable system. Especially with older software it is surprising how often this works without doing an actual install.

That is what I will try.
Thanks, Bill
