I've been trying to help a person on the aquatics forum I frequent with a Windows 11 install. This is a home built system which I believe may be the first.

The problem with the Windows 11 install is that it hangs up when connecting to a network with no option to skip the step. It is Windows 11 Home. Windows 11 Home will not continue without an internet connection which I personally think is a terrible restriction.

Any ideas on this? I have a few thoughts to still go with but am running out of ideas. One thing I'm thinking is to try alt/ctrl/del to bring up task manager and using the browse option to see if nic drivers on a flash drive can be installed at this stage. It is already proven that shift/f10 works to bring up a menu where power shell and/or command prompt can be loaded so why not task manager? I mean Windows is basically installed; just hung up on this join a network screen.

Ya, I know that in today's world a system without internet is pretty restricted but to demand an internet connection to finish the install is just, to me, wrong beyond measure.

I'm still curious as to your thoughts on a possibles solution that I gave thought. Since the command prompt can be brought up by using shift/f10 would it not also be possible to bring up Task Manager via alt/crrl/del and then start a new task and selecting browse in Task Manager to navigate to a USB drive that holds the install for the drivers for the network adapter and just install the drivers? Of course this would need to be done before the network fail screen. Any thoughts?
