Howdy, it's been awhile.
Everything has been running smooth lately, well almost anyway. I'm getting a random flicker across my monitors. It only happens on one of them at a time. I thought it was my VGA card so I removed it and put it in my other PC and no flicker. I'm currently running my main PC with Windows 11 V21H2 using the onboard integrated Intel graphics and the flicker is still appears. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

The main question here is has anyone upgraded to the newest Windows 11 V22H2 yet. I have it sitting in my queue ready to install. What should I watch for after the install? Will this affect currently installed apps and programs? Thanks again.

FYI, I downloaded the 22H2 upgrade without a problem BUT it doesn't show up on my PC. I haven't had a chance to try to resolve things yet, but I apparently am not the only one with problems. There are quite a few comments on the net about this. One interesting thing is the INABILITY to roll back the upgrade. When and if I resolve this, I'll share what I know.

Right now, it might be a good idea to hold off for a while.

Thank you for the information. I'll wait to read your new comments.

Running on 3 different machines with no issues. I have been running the Insider versions on different drives, so I knew what to expect from the update.

If you have an image backup of the system that could be used to 'roll back' the system if needed.

I only have Windows 11 in my Microsoft Surface and would need to do a clean install to go to the most recent version. Haven't decided if I'm going to do so.

As to the monitor flicker; have you looked for more recent video drivers?

When the AMD VGA card was installed drivers were always up to date. In the time since I've started this topic I have stopped using a slideshow background and only have a black screen. I'll monitor this setting for flicker. I will check the Intel graphics driver the next time I launch the PC.

I have had the time to look into why 22H2 isn't showing on my PC. Googled it and was sent to a YouTube video. The link is as follows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa9kapdeif4. The video showed a work around which I tried. After the work around my PC still did NOT show the update in system information. However, the update is usable on my PC. I have been playing with it.

Not sure why it doesn't show up but since it works...

I just did a Bing search about Win 11 V22H2 problems BEFORE I install it. This is what I found. It looks like I will wait a bit before I update. I did make fresh bootable backup for when I do just in case I have to roll back.

I installed V22H2 about 3 weeks ago. Everything is running smoothly. I still have a couple backups of V22H1 incase I need to go back. The Start Menu offers a nice feature of creating folders to categorize your apps. It does add an extra poke/select by your mouse. I think it's better than the previous version anyway. All in all, so far so good.
