I do not know the AShampoo burning software so cannot state it's quality. On the other hand it came to me highly recommended.

There IS a nag screen when exiting the program advertising their higher level software but clicking 'No Thanks' has stopped that screen. It must be kept in mind that some of these types of promotions will not stay gone. I cannot say one way or the other at this point. Corel's Paint Shop Pro version 10 was given away in very much the same way. Even if the promotion does come back good software for free is worth an extra click to exit.

If you decide to check this out just download and run from the above link. When the installer is launched make sure to select custom install to prevent a toolbar and changes to your home page and search engine. At least I will give this outfit credit for showing these options below the custom choice.

After the install run the thing. You will be taken to a web page to get your activation code.

I have an older version of this on my Windows 7 machine and I've had an email with an upgrade offer but as I don't really do that much DVD burning I haven't bothered to upgrade.

I have another of their products on that machine. I've found their products work very well and I've never had problems with them.

Let us know what you think about it Jay, on the machine I'm on most of the time now is my Asus Notebook running Windows 8 and that came with PowerDVD 10. That works very well for me so I don't need to get anything else at this time.
