Sometimes you just have to love false advertising.
As advertised:
1) Advertised as having 8GB internal storage. What I got has 16GB.
2) Advertised as having up to 4 hours of battery life. At just under 4 hours running with screen always on and both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth going I still have 55% of the battery. Granted that most of that time it has been idle but still...
Off of the advertised stuff.
On my old Android 4.1 8 inch tablet I never got the NetFlix app to work. With this one I installed the app and was on NetFlix without issue. In fairness I have to admit that I could have gotten Netflix to work on the 8 inch by finding an older version of the app but didn't bother.
The thing is really pretty cool. Slide the tablet in to the case which includes the keyboard and, at 10.1 inches, it is like a mini laptop minus mouse or touchpad. Slide it out of the case and it is a regular tablet. Oh, along with the keyboard the case also has a built in kickstand. Heck, it even came with a micro to full USB cable for charging the keyboard and connecting external devices. Audio is not anything like my medial system going through my HDTV but not TOO far behind my laptop. I expected worse.
One of the next experiments will be to see how it connects to my printer via wireless.
Including shipping and a 32GB micro SD card for more storage I paid a total of $117.92.
Here is what it looks like while I'm typing this post. You can get an idea as to size from the DVD spindle.
Four hours and 28 minutes and still 46% battery.
