Almost half the time I open a .pdf file, it just freezes at the end of the filled progress bar. I'm blaming this bloat:
Adobe Acrobat 4.0 Adobe Air Adobe Community Help Adobe Reader X (10.1.5) Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin What would you uninstall from the list and what would you install as a better pdf reader?
Using Win7 Home and Firefox

I'd definitely go with Chasbox's suggestion and install Foxit, it's a brilliant PDF reader with a much smaller footprint than Adobe and it's free.

Don't like to shout but ... FOXIT!! Just make sure that you get the latest version. They very recently discovered a security problem but that has been fixed. Good grief, is FoxIt actually becoming THAT popular that it is finally starting to be hacked? Acadia

Enjoy, Smitty. When I installed FoxIt many years ago I could not believe how silky smooth it was to make a switch from the usual "approved" programs. Both GG and I have only used FoxIt now for several years ... NO PROBLEMS, enjoy Acadia

Using Win7 Home and Firefox Uninstall Adobe Air - Only needed if you have the full Adobe Suite (as far as i'm aware). Certainly not needed for those apps. Acrobat 4 you can uninstall if you don't need it Adobe Community Help - May as well Leave the flash as thats different. If you are having trouble with the latest 10.1.5 of Reader, try an older version from filehippo.com
