I don't use web mail through a browser as I use an email client. From what I've found it MAY be that you need a PDF extension for Firefox but that should come with the Firefox install. This is possible but not likely.
If your email goes through gmail.com it is more likely that Google only allows attachments through Chrome.

vic479h wrote: There are 411 PDF extensions. That is a bit surprising. I would look for free with good reviews. Keep in mind that I really don't know if an extension is the issue. It is also possible that another extension is messing things up. At this point I'd disable all extension and see if the PDF attachment then works. You could also switch to an email client which some advantages over web mail. If you have Microsoft Office you could use Outlook. If no Office you could use eM Client, it is free for up to 2 email address if I remember correctly. This is what I use. https://www.emclient.com/download?utm_campaign=CJ&CJEVENT=eb099755ccbd11ec82ef3e010a1c0e0cThe main advantage of an email client is that emails that you save are kept on your local system and not in a cloud where it can be hacked. Since I don't use web mail that is about the best that I can offer. Let's see if anyone else has any ideas. Is your email account through Gmail or another?

vic479h wrote: hotmail.com Hmmm, I just tried a test email through the web version of Hotmail and it allowed me to select a PDF but it had the slashed red circle attached to the file which I would think means that it would not send the thing. BTW, I tried this with Firefox as that is my default browser anyway. Mayhaps Steve will have an idea...

Unfortunately, I don't see why it isn't working. I just sent test messages with a PDF attachment from my @msn account in Edge and Firefox with no problem. I received both messages in my other email account. Can you send other attachments without issue? Is it a problem for just that PDF or all PDF files?

Hey Steve, I DID find that a PDF with improperly setup mime types can cause issues. Good call on asking if a specific PDF or all!

Hey Steve, I once again did a dangerous thing and had a thought. While I doubt could this possibly be an ISP problem?
