Just ordered a new camera to replace my 12 yer old Canon EOS Rebel T3. Got basically the same camera but a MUCH newer model being a T7.

BTW, the above linked outfit is an awesome resource!

Hope to sell my old T3 for ~$200.00. The old camera DOES have an issue as the battery/SD card compartment cover is broken and has to be taped shut but other than that the camera is like new. Considering that the old camera will include a 16GB SD card and an 18-55mm lens I think $200.00 is fair but might take down to $175.00. Actually I use a 256GB SD card but I will keep that card.

The new camera includes an 18-55mm lens so I lose nothing there. Also includes PaintShop Pro 2022. Being a Canon EOS Rebel series my current 75-300mm telephoto lens should fit just fine.

Having second thoughts about selling my old camera. The problem is the bad battery/SD card cover. If I sold it it would probably be to someone in my apartments and, even though fully functional, I can see conflict about the battery/SD card cover needing taped. I know that I'm tired of the tape myself.

Since it IS actually fully functional I think I'd be better off keeping it as a backup.

I have no idea if this is possible given i have no knowledge of the camera, but if you know someone with a 3D printer might it be possible for them to 'print' one for you?

Not really as the cover has internal moving parts to lock in place.
