You obviously have the same newsletter as me, saw this article.

I don't leave the house so don't use my phone outside, hubby doesn't have a Smartphone just one he can make and receive calls, it can do texts but that's something he doesn't use, he only carries it when he goes out in the car as an emergency if he needs to call the breakdown service or when he used to go to guinea pig shows and he kept me informed about his arrivals and back home times.

Good article. I've never used public USB charging stations due to security concerns that I learned of years ago. I also avoid public wifi when out and about. :-)

I've never used a public USB charger but have used public Wi-Fi in the past, last time was probably 8-9 years ago. When you are hitch hiking around the country you are somewhat limited as to internet connection choices... :mrgreen:

An interesting point is that you can buy a USB device that only connects the 5 volt power with neither of the data lines connected. This would make a public charging station totally safe as the data lines have to be connected for anything to happen. Here are some samples.
