If you, like I, use Malwarebytes (MBAM) Premium, and chose to save $10.00 by going with a two year license, you may find that when you try to renew your license it will refuse to allow you to renew again for two years but only one year.

The issue seems to be that Malwarebytes changed how their subscription system works and it no longer works properly for old two year subscriptions with Cleverbridge which is the outfit that actually takes payments for Malwarebytes.

Of course I contacted Malwarebytes support and they supplied solution without hesitation. Simply allow the subscription to expire and buy it again with a two year subscription. In the future you should then be able to renew for additional two year subscriptions without issue. The problem was that I could not turn of my auto-renew option. I didn't realize that I would have to handle that through Cleverbridge instead of Malwarebytes as they handle the subscriptions. Malwarebytes support did the canceling of the auto renew for me.

So I just wait until 8/12/2019 when my current subscription actually expires and buy a new license. Actually this even saves me $5.00 over the old two year subscription. ;)

Well, Jay, I don't know why you didn't also renew for your CH buddies while you were at it??

My premium license doesn't expire until Feb 2020, so I will have to wait and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up.

I was gonna renew for everyone but didn't know the log ins to do it. :dunno: At least I tried...

Going by your renewal date I would guess that you will have the same issue if you do two year subscriptions. If you only do single year subscriptions just leave it as is if you have auto-renewal enabled.

I have a lifetime license with my MalwareBytes so don't have to worry about that.

I'm covered on all our machines with lifetime licenses Jay, at least that's one thing I don't have to worry about re-newing.
