I couldn't fit the whole title into the subject box but if you've read this far chances are it said enough...

Quote:
Researchers from Oxford’s Department of Experimental Psychology and Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences have shown that people who have had Covid but don’t complain of long Covid symptoms in daily life nevertheless can show degraded attention and memory for up to 6-9 months.
Source: Attention and memory deficits persist for months after recovery from mild Covid
https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2022-01-19-attention-and-memory-deficits-persist-months-after-recovery-mild-covid

Full paper, not easy to read for a layman:
Rapid vigilance and episodic memory decrements in COVID-19 survivors

Point being, if your friends or loved ones suddenly loses their train of thought or can't find words mid sentence, be nice and help them out without being a smart arse, it isn't their fault and they will likely recover... always remember, they will be more frustrated than you are and if you belittle them then they might not forgive or forget.
