My friends, in their 80's, have recently gone from Win XP to Win 8. I have Win 7, so I'm not going to be much help when they have a question or problem about Win 8. Would it be a good move for me to make sure they've gotten the latest update? I believe the latest update is supposed to be a good thing for those that use a keyboard and mouse. |

It does not matter whether you use a mouse and keyboard or a touch screen. You ALWAYS do updates. |

The latest update to 8.1 makes it more mouse friendly. It added an X close window icon to the top of the open Metro Tiles . It also added a little better right click context menu to the tiles on the Metro Interface. |

Also, are they running 8.0 or 8.1? If 8.1, you have to do this update in order to receive further future updates. |
