My daughter successfully updated to Windows 11, but now her C: drive is suddenly full. It's showing 118.01 GB capacity with 9.64 GB (8%) free. The only thing that has been added to C: is Windows Old. I have successfully moved all of those files to an external hard drive, but I cannot delete most of the C: drive Windows Old folders without permission from TrustedInstaller. What's the workaround?

Windows.old is a backup of the previous OS so you can revert back if there is an issue. If all is running OK I'd leave it until everything is proven.

The easiest way to remove the Windows.old folder is to go to the properties for the drive then disk cleanup. After the initial scan by disk cleanup select to include system files and follow through.
