I recall that we talked about how to access and remove what was on the Windows 10 clipboard. What I would like to know now is how to view the Windows 7 Clipboard and how to clear whatever is on it?

Windows key-v to view clipboard. Use the hamburger menu to delete items. This is for Windows 10 but I believe it the same in Windows 7.

Hi Jay...........Windows Key-v does not work in Windows 7 the way it does in 10 so there is no hamburger menu to delete whatever is on the clipboard

OK, I just searched it and the application to view the clipboard is not in Windows 7. However, you CAN copy the clipbrd.exe app from an XP install to Windows 7 and it is reported to work.

The problem is in finding an XP install...

I just tried the above between my virtual machines and it does work but is cumbersome. You may want to consider a clipboard manager. I THINK that all in the following link have free versions but am not positive. Note that a couple seem to be text only.

I downloaded and installed Clip Angel from the link above and using Alt-V opens up the clipboard much the same as windows 10 only Clip Angel is much more advanced. In any event, it works well to see what is on the clipboard in Windows 7 and to delete it.....Thanks Jay

YW. :)

Feel free to not answer but I have to admit to being curious. For most people, including myself, the clipboard is just a copy paste type thing. Most people, including myself, don't really even think about it. I am really curious as to your concern as to clipboard content... Why?

Perhaps I am overly cautious about what I might have left on the clipboard. Some things might be personal, only for my eyes and a simple "paste" in "word" and anyone can see what is on the clipboard In Windows 7 and 10

OK, I can see that. Like I said I was just curious as it is not a concern that most seem to have.
