For those that like to get it done sooner than later here is a link to force the update or create media.

Just did the update on my main system and will follow with my laptop after it finishes ver. 1809 updates. I prefer that the old version be completely up to date before applying one of these feature updates.

The update on my main system went without issue using DVD install media. It did seem to take longer than previous updates though.

<edit>
It would seem, so far, that the 1903 feature update improves some compatibility with older software. I have had an irritating problem with one of my favorite small games called Zuma Deluxe where I had to keep changing compatibility setting to get it to successfully load. After this current update I have loaded it ~10 times as a test without issue and there are no settings selected for compatibility under the game properties. Too early to know if this will last but this would not have happened previously. Here is a link to the thread with the issue.

Had a CU for the new version today but it didn't automatically download and install. Had to click it to make the update happen.

I didn't bother with Windows Updates for this. I directly created an install DVD and went that direction.

So far all three systems seem fine.

I did the manual install too, my post was to point out that there is an update already from the new version, but it didn't automatically download and install itself.

So far only my HP Envy laptop has been offered the new version and I installed that yesterday, so far so good. I know Microsoft are doing the rollout with this update again and it will be offered when your machine is ready for it. Still 4 machines here to do, but that's OK will do them as and when they become available via Windows Update.

I don't recall getting an update after the install but I allowed updates during the install so that may account for the fact.

Still no failure on loading Zuma Deluxe...

There were 2 updates after the initial install of 1903, .net framework and Adobe Flash Player, that was for this HP Envy.

I just updated my main machine to V1903 using a hard disk created from an ISO file. It worked very well and went smooth. It took just about an hour to complete. I'm a bit disappointed that Microsoft is still holding back on releasing the sound app for DTS-X. They have been saying that since January that it will be released later this year. Everything I've read said it should have come out with this release. Any new word on this app?

Hi Terry,

I'm glad that the update went well for you. :)

I do have a question though... You state that you made an install hard disk from the ISO image. Did you actually write the ISO to an hard drive or did you mean you put it to a DVD or flash drive? Just looking for clarification if you can supply. :)

Jay I used the V1903 ISO file to make a dual layer dvd Windows 10 disk. I still have V1809 on a USB thumb drive and didn’t want to erase it.

Thanks Terry, You just caught me by surprise when you stated hard drive instead of DVD in your initial post.

My Asus K55A is now at version 1903, I don't use that one much just bring it out to keep it updated and when I did that the other day it gave me the upgrade so I went ahead and did it through Windows Update.
