Hi everyone, I got a new computer, Acer Aspire R11 with a Windows 10 Operating System and out of the box, it has limited free space (28gb) So far I have installed Corel Paint Shop Pro x6 and MS Word and its already down to 10gb remaining. So my question is, can programs be installed on an external device such as a Toshiba 1tb usb?

That makes no sense as the system should have a 500GB drive. Can you post a screenshot of the properties of the drive? My Windows 10 and programs install only takes ~52GB. Also can you post a screenshot of the Drive Management screen? (Let us know if you need help getting to the screen.) It is possible that the drive is partitioned with a really small system partition and a much larger second partition.

In direct answer to your question... yes and no. ;) If the software allows you to choose an install directory the answer is usually yes. If the choice is not offered the answer is no.

OK, I found the wrong system on my search.

This is really what I would call a tablet. As I said above you may be able to install some software to an external. You may also be able to add a micro-SD card for added storage.
