I'm still having random instances where my Win 10 system freezes when idle (mouse and keyboard don't work). It never freezes when I am using the computer. I've tried many solutions offered on Computer Haven and other sources, to no avail.

But lately I read about C-states in the BIOS. Specifically, here is what I read:
C-States” are basically power saving options that are enabled by default. They turn down the CPU Voltages and speeds to save power. In order to save power, sometimes, they decrease the performance delivered by the computer. Therefore, in this step, we will be disabling “C-States” in bios.

Is this something I should maybe try? I'm pretty much at wit's end on this freezing issue. Thanks in advance.

I would disable C-States. Hey, you can always enable again later if it does not help.

Just my second desktop system. While it would run later versions of Windows 10 it was not totally able and would go weird after a few days. Nothing at all wrong with the system except that it was not 100% compatible with later versions of 10. I ended up rewverting to Windows 7 on that system.
