For those using MBAM Premium, version 4.1.0 is now available as a free upgrade. I just installed and have a reboot pending. It promises much faster scans along with a 'dark mode' which is just a color scheme. I would believe that this upgrade is also available for the free version but can't prove as my systems all run the Premium version.

Install followup...

Two odd things happened after the upgrade installer reboot.

1) My local email client, eM Client, was changed to not launch at system startup and to launch to contacts instead of inbox..

2) My mouse cursors were reset to the Windows default.

Neither case was of any importance as restoring the cursor pack and email client launch settings was just a matter of like 30 seconds. I just don't see why the upgrade would change such settings. In my humble opinion I think that updates/upgrades are going more into the system than they should. Why should an upgrade of one program affect the setting in a totally unrelated program? :dunno:

Scan speed result.

Did a custom scan of my entire system (C:) drive which is 301 GB in size. The scan took 1 hour, 6 minutes. I don't ave a record of the time for the last time I did this but it does seem to have been quite a bit quicker.
