Hi All, Last couple days I've been receiving about 40 notifications (20 in AM, 20 in PM) from POF (looks like a dating site I never used). I've set up a Rule in Outlook to move all of these to Deleted but does anyone know how these notifications are coming to my katy98 inbox for this person 'Katlyn98xox'?

I don't know this user Katlyn98 and have never been to this POF website and is there a way to stop these entirely? Otherwise I'll need to empty my Deleted folder about once a week :(.

Thanks in advance!!! katy

Is this a MSN/Outlook.com/Hotmail account? If so, block the domain. If it is an email address with another provider, check their spam filtering options to block the messages.
The bottom line is that your address was apparently provided by the person as their address.

What I use is a Gmail account. I wanted these forwarded to my Outlook so I have set up to have delivered/forwarded to my Outlook email. This I did on the Gmail website long time ago. I have no idea how to 'block the domain', could you show me how? I don't know from where these emails came, like what provider, just that they show up in my Outlook. I assume these are coming in through gmail but how can I tell? I wish I could forward one of these to you so you could check but then I may be infecting you if this is that type. I don't know how to determine where these emails are coming from. Is there a way I could send you a Snipping Tool view of the volume of these duplicates (it seems) are coming in?

ps: I went to my gmail website and logged in to confirm they are coming through gmail which they should be but only a couple of these I'm getting in my Outlook are showing up in Gmail online, either in spam or All mail but not nearly the volume of emails my Outlook is showing. Not sure if this helps you. Thanks, katy

In Gmail, here's their Help text for blocking unwanted mail.
https://support.google.com/mail/answer/ ... ktop&hl=en

If the messages are all coming from the same sender email address:

When you block someone, messages they send you will go to your Spam folder.
Open Gmail.
Open the message.
In the top right, click the Down arrow .
Click Block [sender].

There is no explicit option to add a domain for all to go to spam in Gmail, but a filter can be set up that does this:
filter *@domain.com -- replace domain.com with the actual domain of the email sender.

You can also set a junk mail rule in Outlook.com:
Block Outlook email from a specific sender

Automatically move incoming messages from specific senders to the Junk E-mail folder.
1 On the Home tab, in the Delete group, click Junk, and then click Junk E-mail Options.
2 On the Blocked Senders tab, click Add and type a specific email address (such as someone@example.com) or an internet domain (such as @example.com or example.com).

Thanks for all of this Steve! I've got the blocks in place plus a rule in Outlook and it seems to be working. I will definitely keep these handy for the next time this happens. Have a great week!!! katy :)
