While my current Polaroid 8" Android 4.1 'Jellybean' tablet works fine I would not mind if it were just a bit larger.

Also I decided that I would not mind if I could gift my current tablet to someone that I know that is in need in Florida.

I love Tiger Direct but hate cases where there are no reviews. I'm sure that I could have hunted and found outside reviews but went ahead and did the deed. Hey, I keep a coin jar on my fridge all year and this time of year cash it in to buy something for myself that I normally would not. This 10.1 inch 1.3GHz. quad core tablet with Android 4.4 'Kit Kat', Bluetooth keyboard and case will just about cost me nothing considering that coin jar. ;)

That's a nice looking tablet Jay, I've only got the Kindle Fire HD 7" and it doesn't have a camera, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. ;-)

The thing arived today and seems decent. Had zero issues connecting to my wireless nor with the bluetooth connection to the keyboard. I'm posting with it right now.

Speaking of the keyboard, the keys are almost as large as my regular keyboard and they are keys, not touch membrane.

Logged into NOOK and my library was automatically synced and ready to download.

Sounds like you're having fun, glad it's working out well for you. What's it like weight wise ?

At a guess I'd say everything together is a little under a pound.

Sometimes you just have to love false advertising. :)

As advertised:

1) Advertised as having 8GB internal storage. What I got has 16GB.

2) Advertised as having up to 4 hours of battery life. At just under 4 hours running with screen always on and both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth going I still have 55% of the battery. Granted that most of that time it has been idle but still...

Off of the advertised stuff. ;)

On my old Android 4.1 8 inch tablet I never got the NetFlix app to work. With this one I installed the app and was on NetFlix without issue. In fairness I have to admit that I could have gotten Netflix to work on the 8 inch by finding an older version of the app but didn't bother.

The thing is really pretty cool. Slide the tablet in to the case which includes the keyboard and, at 10.1 inches, it is like a mini laptop minus mouse or touchpad. Slide it out of the case and it is a regular tablet. Oh, along with the keyboard the case also has a built in kickstand. Heck, it even came with a micro to full USB cable for charging the keyboard and connecting external devices. Audio is not anything like my medial system going through my HDTV but not TOO far behind my laptop. I expected worse. ;)

One of the next experiments will be to see how it connects to my printer via wireless.

Including shipping and a 32GB micro SD card for more storage I paid a total of $117.92.

Here is what it looks like while I'm typing this post. You can get an idea as to size from the DVD spindle.

Four hours and 28 minutes and still 46% battery. :)

Very nice, it certainly looks a nice tablet with the added bonus of a keyboard. Sounds like you like your new toy so shouldn't have anything to worry about. ;-)

This things are getting pretty interesting for sure. I never heard of Double Power but it is nifty.

Can you swap out the battery when it dies?

Don't know about swapping out the battery Manny.

I never heard of Double Power, or DOPO as their logo shows, either. That was the worried part. ;)
