Sorry I can't help you there, I don't have a Samsung phone or have ever tried to do what you want to do. What about Skype, is that any good for what you want I know you can install it on a phone but don't know if it will do what you want.

I'm sure one of the others will be along soon and be able to give you some advice. :-)

I've got a Galaxy S8+, prior to that i had a Galaxy Note 4, my wife now has a Galaxy S8 and prior to that a Galaxy S7... they all pretty much function the same when it comes to recording audio or video, is there a reason you can't use the built in recorder?

On my Galaxy S7, I would hit:
1. MEMO icon
2. the + sign
3. "voice"- upper right
4. red dot to start recording
5. "X" to stop recording
6. Save

There is an app in play store called Voice Recorder that does an excellent job. I've used it to record sessions with my doctor. It's easy to record, pause, and save. There are several such apps in the store, This one shows a blue circle with a white microphone in it. It is simply called voice recorder,

I didn't realize my Galaxy S7 had a built in recorder. Thanks to all that replied!
