Don't know if this is the right place for this but it DOES involve an email account...
As is known by some due to other of my threads I run a LOT of REALLY old games that were designed for Windows 2000 and XP. These old games have caused some odd issues when trying to watch a video on my second monitor; I run two monitors.
In this case I'm playing a 'seek and find' type game and it seems to affect my G-mail account. No real issue as I just shut down Outlook and re-open but this still seems odd. If I play the game for a long time my G-mail account will take forever to finish on a new email check. Eventually it does finish without any error shown. There have been a few times when Outlook has taken a very long time to initiate after re-starting Outlook.
Here is the odd part. It is only the G-mail account that is affected. I also have a Hot mail account along with three through my web domain. All accounts except for G-mail are showing zero affect.
Any ideas as to what is actually happening? I'm not really concerned and my thought is that it involves the OLD game trying to call home for 'global high scores' as many of these old games do. The high score check fails as the game is obsolete and gone as to score databases.
LOL! When I DO have a rare issue they always have to be strange.
