My ISP is a local Mom & Pop telephone company. I leave my emails on their mail server for 30 days, after which they are deleted.

Yesterday I downloaded several recent emails from the ISP mail server to my computer. Unfortunately, I then permanently deleted one of these emails that I now want back. This email still resides on the ISP mail server, but I don't know how to download it a 2nd time to my WLM client running on my Win 10 computer.

Can this be done.....can I download an email a 2nd time? If so, how?

Thanks in advance.....

Without knowing how your ISP mail server works this is a bit of a wild guess but works for me with my ISP and Thunderbird, mobile phone etc...

Because you know the email is still present on the ISP server i assume you can log into the server by other means (web based page?).

If that's the case go back to the ISP server and mark the message as "unread" and log out of the ISP server.

Now open WLM and check for new messages, because the email is marked as unread on the ISP server WLM should pull it down again.

Hope that makes sense and helps.

Doddie, thanks for what appeared to be a very workable solution. But "unread" on my ISP simply means that I haven't read it while logged on to their web-based page. However, when trying your solution, I did stumble across something that did work. Since I have another email address on another ISP mail server, I simply forwarded the email I wanted to this other address. So mission accomplished in a crude manner.

But if I didn't have a 2nd email address, my scheme would not have worked.

Thanks again.......

Actually, BB, what you did would have still worked even with just one email address as you can forward to the same address that it originated.
