This one has me stumped although I think it is due to the streaming code on Netflix.

I have a battery backup (UPS) that will keep my system running with internet for ~20 minutes. This UPS connects to my system via USB. Since I did not want to install Java to use the UPS manufacturer's software I control the UPS using Windows 10 power settings.

The problem is Netflix. When Watching a Netflix video I have to remove the UPS from the USB to avoid a repeating alert that my power settings should be changed for better battery life. This ONLY happens with Netflix. There is no such issue with Amazon Prime or Youtube.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea if this will help...

Entering "netflix windows 10 power settings" into Google returns some interesting results that may or may not be relevant. The most recent links in particular.

From the links I've quickly looked at your issue could be anything from a power saving setting to a graphics driver issue... add that as a Win10 user you are basically a perpetual beta tester, it could be anything! ;)

Fingers on keyboard with the return key aimed squarely at Microsoft and Netflix may result in the quickest solution... along with the supplier of your UPS ;)

I would suggest that you try changing your Battery settings for streaming video from (something like, Best Battery Life, to Keep High Def Picture).
Just spitballing.
