Just seems odd that it will charge from any full size USB port to the Surface's micro port but not to the Surface's full size port. I suppose that, with the Surface having a limited power supply, the 5 volt on the Surface's full size port could be disabled. No, that can't be the case or a flash drive would not work. Mayhaps it uses the ground line for charging...
No big deal as there is no issue using the micro port. I just figured that the full size port would give more stability.
