I know that we all have a CMOS battery in our motherboards. I know that it keeps our settings alive when a pc is completely unplugged from the wall. Question: when we completely turn off our pcs BUT keep them plugged into the wall, is the CMOS now working or does the system send a little trickle of juice thru allowing the CMOS to rest, similar to what our TVs, stereos, etc. do?

Thanks, Bill

Not sure of the battery usage when off but plugged in but the system is never truly off as long as plugged in.
