Is there a way to do a keyword search of PMs, like you can do for the forum posts?

Nope, I'm afraid not.

PMs are kept extremely private. I asked Patty, our fearless leader, years ago if the administrators of the forum could read PMs and she said NO, they are private. I know that this is not exactly the same thing as you are asking but it might give a clue why the search feature does not work; the sever software simply was not designed to work in the private PMs. If you want to search for something specific would the built-in search feature of what ever browser you are using help you? Only problem is you would have to bring every PM up individually. Only a certain number of saved PMs are allowed so it is possible that a very old PM does not even exist anymore.

OK, I understand. But I wanted to read only my own PMs (sent and received), because my memory isn't what it used to be. Oh well..........

But the only PMs that you can see are those sent by and received by you.

If you have your OM settings set to store a sent PM in your sent folder you would look there for those that you sent. You would look in your inbox for those that you received.
