Using Wu10man you can suspend updates as long as you want. At the bottom of this see a screenshot that shows options.

As to Edge... I like it but still use Firefox as my main browser mainly due to being able to have the Menu Bar. I use Edge for my main streaming with four streaming tabs as my home page. As to speed I will agree that Edge is quick for normal browsing but, using Netflix as an example, Firefox will start the stream much quicker than Edge. If not for the Menu Bar thing I'd probably use Edge for my main and Firefox for my streaming.

Actually, I do need to slow down, I still believe in waiting so all the bugs can get worked out and all the software manufacturers can catch up, just not waiting as long anymore since I can always fall back upon my backup/recovery programs.

I don't tend to wait. Worst that can happen is I do a 10 minute clone restore. I have my system set to notify but tend to do right away.

What I like about Wu10man is that it is advertised to work with Windows 10 Home, not just Pro. I've never tested with Windows 10 Home just due to not having it on any of my systems, all three run Pro.

Hmmm. I tried Edge a grand total of about 5 minutes, then went back to Chrome. Maybe I should give it another try.

If you tried Edge before January 15, 2020, and/or didn't manually upgrade Edge, it is totally different.

If you want to try it make sure to get from the following link.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge

I believe it will be automatically included in the Fall 2020 Windows 10 Feature Upgrade replacing the old Edge. As is you don't need to worry about which Edge you are launching if you install the new as the install will redirect any links to old Edge to the new.

Wish I had seen this wu10man a long time ago. I have a machine with a 32G Emmc (factory config) that has never been able to update due to lack of space but keeps trying. Redirecting to internal SD or ext HD has never worked.
