Greetings- since this seems to be the HD thread: Are there M2 duplicators?, I have a Sata dupe box from ALI that has been great but if I buy newer rigs do I have a solution? or something that works with both?

Yep, just do a search for M.2 duplicators, a bunch will show up.

Hi davros, welcome to the forums. :) Let's make sure that it is understood as to what you want. I assume that you mean an external device where you can plug in an existing M.2 drive and a new one and have it duplicate the original to the new. If so they are available but not cheap. Here is one I found on New Egg for $69.99 that seems to do what I think you want. It actually looks like a decent unit and will duplicate/clone a drive on its own without needing to be connected to a computer. It is made by Orico who also made both my 7 port powered USB hubs with which I've had no issues. It is designed for USB 3.2 Gen2 but also comes with a cable for USB2/3. If you search just be careful as many results that come up will actually be external enclosures with one M.2 NVME and one M.2 SATA connection.

I'm going to split this to its own thread so it is specific to your question.
