I read about the person that couldn't login to Angies - and I'm having a similar but opposite problem. I can't get in w/Firefox. (Same using Safe Mode.)
I tried every troubleshooting method Mozilla recommends. I then found some exotic ATT modem/router issues. I had ATT Support on the phone, but they disconnected me without finishing.
I still have periodic (to frequent) trouble using IE, so I know the website still has server issues. The past 3 - 4 months, the only way I can use the website is through IE. Online, somebody suggested the modem could have added the website to firewall, but I can't figure out that fix. (Hence ATT.) Someone suggested changing the MAC address.
It's only one website that I use often, so it's really quite annoying. Have I gone too far (out) or not far enough?
Thank you.

As a first step I would change the router and system to use Open DNS instead of your service providers. https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/There are instructions on the site. If you believe that there could be an issue with the AT&T modem I would suggest getting them back on the phone. I can't see it being a firewall issue as that would result in never getting to the site.

I wouldn't have tried this (Open DNS) without a nudge from you.
Modem seemed to be the only device left after not getting results. It is an old model, and it would be the more exotic settings (such as you suggested), as opposed to rebooting (for instance) or any Page 1 (troubleshooting manual) suggestions.
I have a _nomap designee on WiFi and she removed it. I replaced it. (Drat.)
Firewall - your explanation is logical. I could get to the landing page, but couldn't open any of the offerings without a constant Timed Out - Server Error message.
Let you know. Thank you, Jay.

I saw that there was an issue with U-Verse modems but you can still change the DNS designation on your individual work stations and router if not using the U-Verse modem as a router. The link that you provided in your last post gives instructions for doing this. https://support.opendns.com/entries/405 ... -T-U-VerseIf you go this route it will show as failed when you test but it is reported that this can still help... just don't really know if it will help your issue.

Huh, ? I assume that you mean that you are using the U-Verse modem as a router...
In that case change to Open DNS on your computers.

Yes, it does.
I'll see what I can find.
Thank you.

Changed it in computer and of course, it had nothing to do with website. Thought I responded already. My apologies.
Thank you.
