As to rivals I can't remember. Were they ever, all three, in the same division? I did a quick search with no answer but seem to remember that it might be a possibility back in the 60's.

Sigh, well I guess the Tribe would have to sweep the Nationals while Tampa gets swept.

From 69 to 94 NY, Boston and Cleveland were in the AL east After 94 there were 3 divisions.
Tribe went to the central. Before 69 they all played in the AL

Thanks for the info Chas. LOL! At least I wasn't too far off in my thinking that they might have been in the same division in the 60s.

Of course the Tribe has been out of it since they lost Friday but, at least, my FIRST PLACE Browns finally played a game like their talent says they should even without their starting tight end and #1 corner. :) 40-25 was a VERY good win over the Ravens but the Ravens, I think, were over rated going into the game. Ya, they were rated as the #1 run defense and #1 offense in points scored and total yardage per game but they haven't played anyone... I REALLY like the Tribe but the Brown's are my team. If I had to pick one or the other to follow it would be the Browns. We'll see how they are doing over the next four weeks. 49'ers next Monday night followed by the Seahawks. Then a bye week followed by the Patriots. The first half of the Browns' season looks to be harder than the second half. I mean 5 of their last 8 games will be against the Steelers, Bengals and Dolphins.

There has been a LOT of hype about the Browns which I did my best to ignore. At the beginning of the season I picked them to go 9-7, mayhaps 10-6 with a break here and there.

Good luck to your Yankees... dang, that was painful to say...

Sigh, Once again I am forced to pull for the Yankees and it still hurts.

So happens that there is a guy in my apartments that is an Astros' fan. He really isn't a bad guy but an extreme know-it-all and irritating. LOL! I guess I'm not really pulling for the Yanks but against the Astros' just due to this guy. :rofl2:

Browns are 2-3 before playing Seattle today at home. Then a bye followed by New England. On paper the second half should be easy with 1 against the Ravens, 2-Pittsburgh, 2-Cinci, 1-Denver-1 and 1-Miami.

What a rip for Detroit on Monday night! Two hands to the face penalties against Detroit's Flowers turned the game and neither call was legit.

As to the Browns they have the wrong head coach. Kitchen has zero control over what is going on on the field. I mean one of the interceptions given up by the Browns was caused by a receiver running a route that is not even in the play book. And being up 20-6 how do you not just run the ball down their throat with Chubb and Higgins? Just blast them and break the back of Seattle's defense. Why do you keep throwing the ball all over the place? Makes no sense to me...

I said wrong head coach??? Kitchen is head coach largely due to Mayfield wanting an offensive minded coach. Kitchen was embraced by fans due to how much improved the Browns were after Jackson was fired. What people forget is that the 2018 improvement was not due to Kitchen being the head coach as he was not. Williams was the head coach and, if staying within the origination, should have been named as the current head coach over Kitchen.

The team has no discipline, Head coach responsibility.

The team leads the league in penalty yards given, lack of discipline.

The players are playing as individuals instead of as a team, Head coach responsibility.

There is no offensive coordinator, Kitchen calls the offense. Name me a handful of head coaches that have been successful without both an offensive and defensive coordinator. It is not the job of a head coach to run either the offense or defense. It is the job of the head coach to run the team. There is a difference.

As I've said before all the talent in the world does not make a team. It takes a head coach to turn the talent into a team. Sadly I don't think that the Browns have a true head coach.

I will still stick with my prediction of them finishing 9-7 just due to the weakness of their second half schedule.

Hey Chas, ya think my Browns have any chance against the Pats next Sunday? I think they have the talent to challenge but they are just not playing like a team. I still think that Kitchens is not a strong enough of a personality as head coach to handle the roster.

To the Browns' advantage will be that the Pats have a short week and, due to a bye week, the Browns have two weeks to get ready. I think that if it is a low score game the Browns have a chance but they will get blown away in a shootout.

I hear that. The D is kicking butt.

Ya, 18 picks in 7 games is not normal at all. I think that the Browns have the raw talent to give the Pats trouble but I still don't have much faith in Kitchens. Then again he has only been a head coach for well under a year. I'm just seeing any indication that he is a strong enough personality to handle some player's personalities. They tend to play like a group of individuals instead of a team.

Back to baseball the Astros are in big trouble. BTW, the last team to come back from 0-2 at home was your Yankees in 1996. Actually I'm pulling for the Nats just because a guy in my apartments who is really irritating is an Astros' fan.
