Post subject:  Purging EasyBCD Setup

This is primarily for Jay, who talked me through setting up my computer for booting into Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 using EasyBCD 2.3 a couple of years ago.

I want to delete my Windows 7 and Windows 8 partitions and use Windows 10 as the only OS on my computer. Before I do that, I want to configure the bootloader to the default Windows 10 display so that when I turn on the computer, the only boot menu that comes up will be that of Windows 10. Then I will uninstall EasyBCD and delete the two OS partitions that I no longer use. I don't want to screw anything up, so I need your instructions on how to do this the right way. :?

Boot to Windows 10 and create a windows 10 Recovery disk if you do not aready have.

Run EasyBCD.

Go to Edit Boot Menu.

Highlight the OS you want to remove and select to Delete. Repeat until all desired are gone.

Save Settings.

The Depending on what drive contains Windows 10 it is possible that you may have to adjust your Boot Priority in the BIOS.

If still no boot boot to theWindows 10 Recovery Media and select to do a Startup Repair. Sometimes this needs to be ran a few times. This is a failsafe and should not be needed.

"Repeat until all desired are gone." I want to revert to the default Windows 10 bootloader, so I assume in this case I would delete all three, including the Windows 10 EasyBCD listing. Just so I am clear, I do not want to leave the Windows 10 showing in EasyBCD, correct? Windows 10 is on C:, so I should not have to adjust the BIOS.

Yes you DO want to leave the Win 10 listing in EasyBCD intact.
