All day long I am trying to click " Advanced system settings on the left pane of Control Panel in Windows 7 Home Premium. For some reason when I click this and nothing open up after this but you can see the administrator settings on top of Advanced system settings. How do I get this work again. I am not sure how to get this work again but thought maybe in safe mode or Mr. Microsoft Fix-It or other way to get this work again after click " Advanced system settings " Only Device Manager work but the last three doesn't work after click -- Remote settings; System protection; Advanced system settings. Your help would be appreciated. John |

As almost always the first step would be to do a system restore to before the issue started. |

Any time any system settings seem to be blocked, I always suspect malware. Do scans with Malwarebytes and your AV program as a first step. |

Patty -- I did this to run malware with the program of Malwarebytes and AV first before go further to restore the computer. Isn't that fun to do this. I thought that I put the DVD Disk (Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System) to repair this but someone told me that will NOT work. It would be better off to have system restore. Jay suggested that in his reply. John |
