This was posted on another forum with the following notes.

The conductor of the orchestra is Andre Rieu from Holland .

The young lady, her trumpet and her rendition of TAPS could easily make your hair stand on end.
The young lady named Melissa Venema, age 13, is the trumpet soloist. She is also from Holland .

Here is Taps played in its entirety. The original version of Taps was called Last Post, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801. It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named Taps.

Melissa Venema is playing it on a trumpet whereby the original was played on a bugle.

Very moving. The piece is described as "'Il Silenzio' is an Italian instrumental piece written in 1965 by trumpet player Nini Rosso." Where does your information on Taps come from? It's relationship to what we hear as Taps is obvious; but the facts are contradictory about its origin. Was it written in 1801 or 1965?

As I said I posted what was on another forum. I make no claims as to the accuracy of the notes, I just thought that everyone would be interested in the performance.

I found this on the internet.

OK. :) Thanks for the history link. Taps is a beautiful thing. So is the Il Silenzio performance.

If you liked the clip in the first post, go to the site, pick up the video title and google it on Youtube. They have some other video's of Andre Reiu's performances. The are incredible. Hard to describe. But you will enjoy.
