I totally forgot to listen to the Yanks on Monday. With a score of 8-1 I guess that they woke up. ;)

Great comeback by the Yanks but they had a bit of help. ;) If a throw isn't thrown to the wrong base Hedley is probably out at second.

Also I still say that your catchers are killing you... ANOTHER catcher's interferrence call???

Anyway congrats to Chas and his Yanks.

Game 5 in NY is the key in my opinion. If they can sweep in NY they have a really good chance of splitting in Houston.

Well it comes down to if the Yanks can win 1 out of 2 in Houston...

LOL! Team of destiny? Going by stats and records the Yanks should have been blown away by both the Tribe and Astros... Yet they are still there... ;)

A momentary rant while Game 6 is in progress... ;)

It totally irks me that almost none of the divisional or conference games were on network TV. Shoot, it is even, sometimes, hard to find a radio stream for these games. For instance tonight's game 6. I have every radio station that streams games for every team in Major League Baseball. No, I did not search out all these stations. It is a web site. This evening I went through all but 1 or 2 radio stations to find one that was actually streaming the game. It is a station out of Hawaii; go figure. Forget seeing the game on TV. Well I'm sure that the game is shown in local markets.

My rant is that baseball would not exist without the fans. Heck, a lot of the money to build stadiums comes from tax money. This is also true with the NFL. My point is that if tax payers are supplying a lot of the funds to build stadiums and support franchises they should not be forced to pay for premium services to be able to watch a playoff game. This is just wrong! :(

BTW, here are links for radio streams for both MLB, NFL and NCAA football. Just go through the stations until you find one streaming your game. The stations are all broken down by team.

So we have an ALCS game 7. Yanks' fans better hope that Sabathia is on top of his game. I don't think it's been announced but Sabathia is expected to be the Yanks' starting pitcher in game 7. Not a bad choice for the Yanks to have on the mound. ;)

Well Chas, your Yanks made a good run at it. I wish that I could feel bad but, being a Tribe fan, I sort of kind of rather hate the Yanks. ;)

You can't win if you don't score. Pitiful. I always cheer for the team
that beat for my team ( Except the Red Sox ) Good luck Houston.
L.A is tough.

LOL! I basically agree about pulling for a team that beat mine but this time, being the Yanks, it was a bit tough. ;) Still, I did my best. ;)

Personally I thought that the Yanks had the edge with Sabathia pitching but he just didn't seem to be all there. His control just seemed to be off.

What are you going to do. I just wait to February and start all over.

Hey Chas, who you figure to win the World Series? I think Dodgers but hope for the Astros just to keep it in the American League.

Before it has a chance to make a difference in the Series I'm going to rant one of my biggest gripes in sports. I probably did the same last year. They need to consolidate the two baseball leagues as to one aspect. Either the NL needs to adopt the designated hitter or the AL needs to lose it. I just feel that it gives the NL an advantage over the AL. When in a NL park there is no DH. NL pitchers are used to batting where the AL pitchers are not. I just think that the 'playing field' should be even.

I know the argument that fans want to see a favorite hitter's career extended but it just does not work for me. My preference would be for the AL to lose the DH. In my opinion, if the pitcher is in the field, he should also be at the plate. The lack of a DH also increases the strategy throughout the game.

I know... I know. Still it is my gripe and I'm sticking to it.

Seemed like a VERY large lower strike zone tonight! Still it seemed to be the same for both teams so you just have to deal with what you get. ;)

Opening game 2 of the World Series with Vince Scully was pure class and very enjoyable. :)

Strange and enjoyable game!

Still it seemed a little odd. It seemed that the Dodgers were so desperate to win the first 2 games at home that they totally wasted their pitching staff. By the time it got to extra innings the Dodgers had no pitchers left.

I don't understand why they would but it sort of seemed like the Dodgers were running scared...

I loved the game,it was wild. Roberts had a pitching strategy.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The Dodgers had been 98-0 in 2017 when leading after eight innings, including the postseason. Shit happens.

I understand the Roberts' logic but can't say that I agree. Yes, I can see not letting hitters see a pitcher for the third time as they will have a better idea as to what he is throwing. Still I have to go with not fixing something that isn't broken. If a pitcher is doing well I don't understand why one would want to pull him out.

Of course, if I knew more than Roberts, I'd be coaching the Dodgers, not he. ;)
